WHO ARE WE?
Get Up Stand Up is a slow-fashion brand born in León, Nicaragua, back in 2013.
For over a decade, we've been perfecting our craft — and that experience shows in every piece we make.
Every piece starts from upcycled fabric and is cut, sewn, and screen-printed entirely by hand — no factories, no mass production, just the patient work of local artisans. Over the years, we've honed our skills, built deep relationships within our community, and learned exactly how to turn discarded materials into clothing people love to wear.
We believe clothing should be made slowly, worn proudly, and leave a lighter footprint on the planet. That's why we work only with people from our own community, paying fair-trade wages and designing work that stays local. Our years of experience mean we know how to do it right — sustainably, ethically, and beautifully.

Made by hand, from the ground up. Everything at Get Up Stand Up begins with upcycled fabrics — material that would otherwise go to waste, given a second life. From there, each garment is designed, cut, and sewn from scratch in our workshop in León. No shortcuts, no automation: just skilled hands doing careful work, one piece at a time.
Printing as a craft. Our designs come to life through traditional screen printing, applied by hand to every garment. It's an artisanal process that gives each piece its own character — small variations and honest imperfections that no machine can replicate. This is slow fashion in its truest form: fewer pieces, made better, made to last.
Rooted in community. We only work with local people — designers, sewers, and printers who live and work in our community. Fair-trade practices are at the heart of how we operate: fair pay, safe conditions, and respect for the craft. When you buy from us, you're not just buying clothing. You're supporting livelihoods, keeping skills alive, and helping our community grow.
Services
Bring your merch to life. We help you turn your ideas into real, wearable pieces. If you're a store or brand, you can print your own t-shirts using your logos and designs on top of our current clothing collections — our handmade, upcycled pieces become the canvas for your identity.
Custom printing. Send us your logo or design, and we'll print it onto our existing collections. You get unique merch that carries both your brand and the quality and character of our handmade work from León.
Screen-printing workshops. Learn the craft with us! In our workshops in León, you'll work hands-on alongside our artisans — learning how to set up a screen, mix your inks, and print your very own design. It's the only place in León where you can do this, and a great activity to share with family or friends. You take your printed shirt home with you, and groups of 4 or more get a discounted rate.
Wholesale & resale. Love what we make? Buy our brand at wholesale prices and resell it in your store. Whether you're in Nicaragua or Costa Rica, we're building a network of independent shops around Central America that carry conscious, handcrafted fashion — and we'd love yours to be one of them.
